The Niger River is threatened in its existence. On Thursday February 2, 2006, at the Festival on Niger’s Forum, we discussed a whole day on this problem. To read the report of the Forum (in French), click here.

One of the resolutions of the Forum was the creation of an Observatory of the Niger River in Ségou. To read the report (in French) of the creation of the observatory, click here.
