Parallel to the cultural and artistic festivities, the Festival organizes a forum concerning important themes for our society. The Forum brings together historians,  anthropologists, sociologists, economists, and writers... Guests from all over the world will debate in hopes of formulating concrete recommendations for the treated questions.

The Forum promises to become an international discussion platform.

Report of the forum 2005

On Saturday, 5 February 2005, the forum was held in the conference hall of Motel and provided the opportunity for Segovians and concerned friends of Mali from throughout  the world to speak about development issues pertaining to Segou and the surrounding region. One hundred international attendees that included representatives of the Malian government, development programmes in Segou and visitors of the festival participated. The 2009 theme

The 2009 theme is : "Local knowledge and environment." and "Local knowledge and Globalisation."

The concept of forum is under development.
